Daughters of the King to Host Quiet Day

On Saturday, May 24, 2008, the St. George’s Chapter of the Daughters of the King will host a Quiet Day at St. George’s Germantown lead by The Reverend Bindy Snyder. The purpose of this day is to follow Jesus’ instructions to his apostles when he said, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest” (Mark 6:31). The schedule (from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm) will be designed to give refreshment to the body, soul, and spirit. All women of the parish are invited to attend and renew their personal relationship with their God.

Lunch tickets are $5.00 per person. There will be an opportunity to register for “Quiet Day” and buy a lunch ticket before and after services (8:,10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.) on Sundays May 11 and 18 or contact Birdie Barker (birdieb2230@bellsouth.net) no later than Tuesday, May 20.
